Prayer Meeting in Betiya, Bihar

A prayer meeting organized in Betiya, Bihar has brought to light the issue of religious conversion. This has caused unrest in the area of Bagaha Police District in Madhubani Panchayat, where the prayer meeting is held. The prayer meetings involve religious conversion, which has led to anger among the people. Concerned individuals have submitted applications to the District Magistrate and local police station appealing to stop the program. A letter has also been written to the Chief Minister regarding this matter.

Concerns Over Safety at Prayer Meetings

The prayer meetings are usually held on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with attendance ranging from 15,000 to 25,000 people. The organizers of the prayer meetings encourage religious conversions. Due to lack of security and arrangements, there are concerns about potential accidents. To ensure the safety of the main organizer, Pastor Rajkumar, 12 bouncers have been hired from Nepal. Each bouncer is assigned to protect Rajkumar at all times. The prayer meetings have designated gates with five girls stationed at each gate, with permission required to enter.

Official Response to the Situation

In response to the situation, local authorities have written a letter to Pastor Rajkumar demanding an explanation for organizing the prayer meeting. They have requested information on the number of people staying overnight and the security measures in place. Little is known about the prayer meetings that take place at night. Local residents have expressed concerns about the gathering of thousands of people every week for religious conversion. Safety measures for women staying overnight have also been questioned.

Search for Pastor Rajkumar by UP Police

Pastor Rajkumar, who is involved in religious conversions, has been sought after by the Uttar Pradesh Police for the past three years. He previously organized prayer meetings in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh. When the government became aware of his activities, a case was filed against him at the Bishanpura police station in Kushinagar district. However, the pastor managed to evade capture.
