Body Found Floating in River in Jamui

In Jamui, the body of a young man was found floating in the river. The young man had been missing from home since Saturday afternoon. Upon receiving information about the body in the river, a crowd gathered at the scene. Local villagers informed the police about the incident. After receiving the information, the police from Khaira police station reached the spot and recovered the body.

Identity of the Deceased and Family Details

According to the information, the deceased, Ramotar Manjhi, had left his home last Saturday afternoon at around three o’clock and had not been heard from since. His body was found floating in the river on Sunday. Ramotar Manjhi leaves behind seven children, three of whom are very young. Local residents mentioned that Ramotar Manjhi’s wife had passed away due to illness a few years ago, leaving all the children orphaned.

Appeal to District Administration for Support

The local community has requested the district administration to take concrete steps to support the orphaned children left behind after the death of Ramotar Manjhi. The incident has been attributed to accidental drowning by Khaira police station in-charge and deputy superintendent of police, Durgesh Deepak. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and any compensation under disaster relief will be provided to the family.
