Tragedy in Hajipur

On the third Monday of Sawan in Hajipur, 9 devotees who were going to Sonpur for Jalabhishek to Baba Hariharnath lost their lives. The devotees were on a DJ trolley which got entangled in high tension wires. The incident occurred in Sultanpur village near the Hajipur Industrial Police Station around midnight.

Accident Details

During the Sawan month, villagers visit the Hariharnath Temple every Monday for Jalabhishek. The villagers had also gone out on Sunday night for the same purpose. While arrangements were made for a DJ trolley, the trolley got entangled in high tension wires while being taken out of the village due to the bad road conditions.

Aftermath of the Tragedy

After the trolley got entangled, a spark was ignited, leading to the deaths of 9 individuals. The local people blamed the negligence of the electricity department for the accident. Despite continuous warnings after the incident, the electricity department did not take any action to prevent such accidents in a timely manner.

Response and Investigation

Local authorities and police arrived at the scene after the incident. The injured survivors recounted how they fell due to the current and how the wires caused a blast. The police calmed down the crowd and began investigating the incident. The SDPO mentioned that the devotees were on their way to Baba Dham when the DJ trolley got entangled in 11,000 volt wires, resulting in the tragic loss of 9 lives.

हाजीपुर में सावन की तीसरी सोमवारी पर बाबा हरिहर नाथ को जलाभिषेक करने सोनपुर जा रहे 9 श्रद्धालुओं की मौत हो गई। इन लोगों की मौत के पीछे हाईटेंशन तार की चपेट में आने का हादसा है। घटना के बाद पुलिस और SDM मौके पर पहुंचे और लोगों का आरोप था कि बिजली विभाग की लापरवाही से ये हादसा हुआ है। घायल लोगों ने बताया कि करंट लगते ही लोग गिर गए और घायल हो गए। बाबा धाम लोग जा रहे थे और DJ ट्रॉली में 9 लोगों की मौत हो गई है। इस मामले की जांच की जा रही है।
