Devotees throng Shiv temples on third Monday of Sawan
On the occasion of the third Monday of Sawan, devotees thronged Shiv temples in large numbers. In Bagusarai, at the sacred Shiv temple of Baba Harigiridham in Gadhupura, devotees and Kanwariyas started gathering in the temple premises for Jalabhishek from 10 pm onwards. The crowd increased, leading to the temple doors being opened early at 4 am. CCTV surveillance was then closely monitored. The line is about 2 kilometers long, with nearly 1 lakh devotees already performing Jalabhishek. Officials, including the SDPO and DSP, are present along with a team.
Peaceful Jalabhishek at Harigiridham with Civil Defence support
With the support of Civil Defence workers, a peaceful Jalabhishek took place at Harigiridham. The roads leading to Harigiridham are filled with devotees chanting ‘Har Har Mahadev’. The main road to the temple had barricades for devotees’ convenience and safety. A Kanwariya Seva Shivir was set up in the temple premises with administrative officials, members of the Harigiridham Development Committee, and a large number of police forces present. Special service facilities were arranged by some organizations in the premises, including medical camps.
Lack of toilet facilities on Kanwariya route
During the Shravani Mela organized by the Bihar government, Kanwariyas expressed their disappointment due to the lack of toilet facilities on the Kanwariya route. They mentioned the absence of toilet and drinking water facilities along the route, making it challenging for devotees to reach the temple except through private and public service camps. Cultural programs were organized at various locations, and police were deployed at key points to ensure security and assistance for devotees.
Over 1 lakh devotees perform Jalabhishek
More than 1 lakh devotees performed Jalabhishek, with a large number of pilgrims already gathered at the temple premises. Special prayers and rituals were conducted by priests, followed by the closing of the temple doors. Despite preparations by the government, the situation of facilities remained inadequate even after three Mondays had passed. The festive atmosphere continued with devotees flocking to the temple for blessings and prayers.
सावन की तीसरी सोमवारी के अवसर पर बेगूसराय के गढ़पुरा स्थित मिथिला के पावन शिवालय बाबा हरिगिरिधाम में जलाभिषेक के लिए श्रद्धालु और कांवरिया रात 10 बजे से ही मंदिर परिसर में जुटने लगे थे। भीड़ बढ़ता देख सुबह 4 बजे से पहले विशेष पूजा कर मंदिर का पट खोल दिया गया। इसके बाद सीसीटीवी से कड़ी निगरानी की गई। करीब 1 लाख श्रद्धालु जलाभिषेक कर चुके हैं। बखरी एसडीओ और डीएसपी सहित अधिकारियों की टीम उपस्थित है। सोमवारी को लेकर हरिगिरिधाम आने वाले तमाम रास्ते गेरुआमय दिख रहे हैं। श्रावणी मेला में कांवरियों को शौचालय की व्यवस्था की कमी का दुख है। विभिन्न जगहों पर सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम आयोजित गए और दुकानों में रामदाना प्रसाद और बद्दी से लेकर श्रृंगार और बच्चों के खिलौने बाजार से काफी सस्ते होते हैं।
