Young man murdered in Motihari
In Motihari, a young man was murdered by being stabbed with a knife and then hit with a brick. The incident was carried out by a group of Scorpio riders. The victim was identified as the son of Sheikha Naj from the Mahajan Tola area of the Ghodasahan Thana region. The incident took place on the road leading from Bagaha Bank Tola to Deepahi.
Details of the murder
The Scorpio riders pulled the young man off a vehicle in Bagaha and then stabbed him with a knife before hitting him with a brick, causing his death. As they were about to throw the body away, they were spotted by villagers. The riders tried to flee in their vehicles, but got into an accident, causing them to run away on foot. One of the criminals was caught by the villagers.
Police investigation
Upon receiving information, the police sent the body for postmortem and are currently questioning the suspect. The victim, Aftab Alam, was the eldest of three brothers and used to live in Saudi Arabia. He had come home for Bakrid and was last seen leaving the house in the evening. The reason behind the murder is still unknown.
Family in shock
The murder has left the family in shock and disbelief. Aftab Alam’s family members are unable to comprehend the reason behind his brutal murder. The SDPO Ashok Kumar confirmed that the young man was indeed murdered with a knife and one suspect has been taken into custody. The motive behind the murder is still under investigation.
