Farmer Rakesh Kumar to be Special Guest at Lal Quila on Independence Day
While the country is preparing for the 77th Independence Day celebrations, a farmer from Nalanda has made history. Progressive farmer Rakesh Kumar from Sohdih will be a ‘special guest’ at the Independence Day event at Lal Quila in Delhi this year. Rakesh Kumar is known for turning farming into an art form, especially in potato production. He was the first to start organic farming in the district, and today he is the chairman of the Shere Bihar Sohdih Farmers Group.
Farmers Recognized at National Celebration
This year, the central government has given special importance to farmers at the Independence Day event. Farmers selected from various states have been invited to Lal Quila. These farmers have been chosen based on strict criteria and are beneficiaries of the PM Kisan Samman Yojana. They have excelled not only in agriculture but also in horticulture, animal husbandry, and other fields.

Rakesh Kumar’s wife Sushma Kumar will witness this historic moment with him. Other farmers from Bihar have also congratulated Rakesh Kumar on this achievement. देश स्वतंत्रता दिवस की 77वीं वर्षगांठ की तैयारियों में जुटा है और नालंदा के किसान राकेश कुमार को दिल्ली के लाल किले पर होने वाले स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह में ‘विशेष अतिथि’ के रूप में आमंत्रित किया गया है। राकेश कुमार एक प्रगतिशील किसान हैं जिन्होंने खेती को एक कला का रूप दिया है और जैविक खेती की शुरुआत की है। उनके प्रयासों से सोहडीह में फूलगोभी की खेती संभव हुई है और उन्हें राष्ट्रीय पर्व में शामिल किया गया है। उनकी पत्नी सुषमा कुमारी भी इस उपलब्धि पर गर्वित हैं और राकेश कुमार की प्रेरणा से अन्य किसान भी नए मुकाम हासिल करेंगे।
