Tragic Incident at RafiGanj Railway Station

A 25-year-old youth lost his life after being hit by an unknown train between pole numbers 506/31 and 506/29 at RafiGanj railway station in Gaya district. The incident was reported to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) by passengers immediately after it occurred. The victim was identified as Vikas Kumar, son of Shyam Narayan Mishra from Singhi village in the RafiGanj police station area.

Identification of the Deceased

The victim’s mother, Renu Devi, along with other villagers, identified the body at the scene. The Government Railway Police (GRP) from Son Nagar arrived at the spot with their team to take possession of the body for postmortem. Villagers mentioned that Vikas used to run a shop in Dihuri Pemma village along the RafiGanj Goh path and commuted daily from his village to the shop.

Details of the Incident

On the morning of the incident, Vikas left home around 7 am to go to his shop in Dihuri Pemma village. By around 9 am, news reached the family that Vikas had met with an accident. Upon reaching the spot, they found him in a critical condition. The family revealed that Vikas was supposed to service a bike at his shop that day and had gone to RafiGanj market for some purchases.

Sad Turn of Events

Vikas, who was the eldest of three brothers, was planning to get married in March 2025. His father, Shivrinarayan Mishra, who works as a laborer in Kolkata, was informed of the incident and was on his way back to the village through the train. The family was preparing for Vikas’ wedding, but the tragic incident has left them in mourning.

पंडित दीनदयाल उपाध्याय गया रेलखंड के रफीगंज रेलवे स्टेशन के पोल संख्या 506/31 और 506/29 के बीच अज्ञात ट्रेन की चपेट में आने से 25 साल के युवक विकास कुमार की मौत हो गई। घटना के बाद राहगीरों ने RPF को सूचना दी और शव की पहचान रफीगंज थाना क्षेत्र के पोगर पंचायत के सिंघी गांव निवासी श्याम नारायण मिस्त्री के बेटे विकास कुमार के रूप में की गई। उसके परिवार वालों को जानकर गहरी दुःख की घटना के बाद उनकी मार्च में होने वाली शादी की योजना भी टूट गई।
