Worker dies due to electric shock while working in the fields

A labourer in the village of Onama under Shekhopur Sarai police station area in Sheikhpura died after getting an electric shock while harvesting paddy in the fields. The body of the 52-year-old Baishakhi Manjhi was found in a critical condition near a college in Onama village.

Family in shock as they find the deceased’s body in a canal

The deceased, identified as Sw Mohan Manjhi’s son, was working in the fields when the incident occurred. His son, Anil Manjhi, mentioned that his father had gone to work in a farmer’s field but did not return home, causing concern among family members. The body was later discovered in a canal near a training college.

Heavy police presence as the family protests with the deceased’s body

After the incident, a large crowd gathered at the scene, and the family members of the deceased blocked the main road from Shekhopur Sarai to Barbigha with the body. The police, including SDPO Arvind Kumar Sinha and Barbigha police station in-charge Vaibhav Kumar, arrived at the scene. The body was sent for post-mortem to understand the cause of death.

Family left in turmoil after losing their sole breadwinner

The deceased, who used to support his family by working as a labourer, is survived by his wife and one son. With the loss of their sole breadwinner, the family is in a state of shock. The police have assured the family of taking necessary action after receiving a written complaint regarding the incident.

शेखपुरा के शेखोपुर सराय थाना क्षेत्र अंतर्गत ओनामा गांव के एक मजदूर की बिजली के करंट लगने से मौत हो गई। मृतक के बेटा ने बताया कि उनके पिता खेत में मजदूरी करने गए थे और उन्हें वापस नहीं लौटते देखकर घरवालों को चिंता सताने लगी। उसी दौरान उन्होंने पिता का झुलसा हुआ शव नदी में पाया। पुलिस ने शव को लावारिस अवस्था में बरामद किया और पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेजा। इस दुखद घटना के बाद मृतक के परिवार वालों में कोहराम मच गया है। घटना के संबंध में लिखित शिकायत मिलने पर पुलिस आगे की कार्रवाई करेगी।
