Allegations of Burning Daughter-in-law for Dowry

District Public Prosecutor Uday Narayan Sinha informed that the victim was a resident of Janpur village under Bhadaur police station in Patna district. The case of killing his daughter Aarti Devi for dowry was registered at the Jayarampur police station in Sheikhpura district. The police had taken action against the accused two years ago and submitted the charge sheet in the court. Based on the evidence collected by the prosecution, both sides’ arguments were heard in court. The court found the in-laws and husband guilty and sent all three to judicial custody.
