Police Arrests 4 Smugglers with Foreign Liquor in Patna
In a major crackdown in the Jakkanpur area of Patna, the police have arrested 4 smugglers with 4265 bottles of foreign liquor. The raid also led to the seizure of three mobile phones and Rs 1,22,900 in cash. The estimated value of the confiscated liquor is Rs 5 lakhs.
4 Smugglers Arrested with 1543 Litres of Liquor
The ASP Sadar, Sweety Seharawat, confirmed the arrest and mentioned that they received a tip-off about smugglers hiding liquor in a room. Based on the information, a raid was conducted in Naresh Singh Gali where 4 smugglers were arrested along with 4265 bottles of foreign liquor of different brands, totaling 1543 litres.
Interstate Smuggling Operation Unveiled
During interrogation, the main smuggler, Sagar Kumar, revealed that the liquor was brought from Uttar Pradesh via train and car. They had rented a room to store the liquor and distribute it from there. Another suspect is under investigation, and raids are being conducted to apprehend them.
Further Investigation Underway
The police have intensified their efforts to uncover the entire smuggling network and bring all culprits to justice. The arrested smugglers will be prosecuted under the relevant laws, and the seized liquor will be used as evidence in the case.
पटना के जक्कनपुर थाना क्षेत्र में पुलिस ने एक घर से 4 तस्करों को 4265 बोतल विदेशी शराब के साथ गिरफ्तार किया है। इसके साथ ही तीन मोबाइल और 1 लाख 22 हजार 900 रुपए भी मिले हैं। जब्त शराब की अनुमानित कीमत 5 लाख रुपए है। इस कार्रवाई के दौरान ASP सदर स्वीटी सेहरावत ने इसकी पुष्टि की है और गिरफ्तारी की गई है। तस्करों ने शराब छिपाने के लिए एक कमरे में रखी थी और यह शराब यूपी से लाई गई थी। एक और आरोपी की गिरफ्तारी के लिए छापेमारी की जा रही है।
