Illegal Relationship Led to Wife’s Murder in Bhagalpur

On August 4th, a woman in Bhagalpur was murdered by her husband for opposing his illegal relationship with his aunt. The husband, along with the aunt and mother-in-law, then disposed of the body in the Kosi River. The police have now revealed details of the case.

Arrest of Accused in Acid Attack Murder Case

The police in Bhagalpur arrested two suspects for the murder of the woman using acid. The suspects, identified as Mu. Faiyaz and Reena Khatoon, were apprehended by the police after the victim’s family initiated a search for her. The case was registered based on a written complaint filed by the victim’s mother.

Press Conference Reveals Details of the Case

The SDPO held a press conference to provide information about the case. It was revealed that the victim’s mother had opposed her daughter’s husband’s illegal relationship with his aunt, leading to frequent physical abuse and threats of murder. The incident came to light when the victim’s family demanded dowry and discovered the murder.

Confession and Arrest of the Accused

Upon interrogation, the accused confessed to luring the victim near a toilet and forcing acid down her throat before strangling her to death. The suspects were arrested based on technical evidence, including the recovery of the acid bottle used in the crime. Efforts are underway to recover the victim’s body from the Kosi River.
