Former Mayor’s House Robbed
In Purnia, former Mayor Savita Singh’s house was robbed of jewelry worth 50 lakhs and 7 thousand in cash. The cunning thief managed to escape from police custody. The police caught the thief accused of robbery and identified other accomplices involved in the incident.
Former Mayor’s Statement
Former Mayor Savita Singh stated that based on CCTV footage, she had handed over one of the two cunning thieves to the police for interrogation. The police had taken him into custody to identify the other thieves involved in the incident. However, during this time, the thief managed to escape from custody.
Police Action
The police had put handcuffs on the cunning thief to identify the other criminals involved in the robbery. Despite being caught with handcuffs, the thief managed to escape from the Madhubani police station area on Monday evening. However, the police managed to capture him within an hour.
Current Status
The Senior SP Pushkar Kumar mentioned that based on CCTV footage, 10-12 suspects have been taken into custody for interrogation. One of the criminals was caught, while the others were taken to identify the rest. The cunning thief managed to escape from the police van by giving a slip and is currently on the run.
