Bihar Government’s Concern
The Bihar government is facing trouble from wild boars and monkeys, causing significant damage to farmers. This poses a major threat to seed production. To tackle this issue, the state government has adopted a new strategy. They have held meetings with village head representatives to find a solution to this problem.
New Strategy
Agriculture Minister Mangal Pandey mentioned that the department will address this issue by meeting with village head representatives. The Department of Environment and Climate Change has also contacted hunters and shooters. All forest division officials need to identify the relevant districts. Subsequently, meetings will be held with 10 village heads from each district to take necessary action.
Impact on Agriculture
Out of the 38 districts, 34 are affected. In these 34 districts, there are 295,866 wild boars and 67,255 monkeys in 30 districts. Wild boars destroy crops by chewing and trampling on them. The government is taking steps to control their population to reduce the damage caused to agriculture.

बिहार सरकार ने घोड़परास और जंगली सूअरों के हमले से परेशान होने वाले किसानों के लिए नई रणनीति बनाई है। इस समस्या को हल करने के लिए वन-पर्यावरण एवं जलवायु परिवर्तन विभाग ने मुखिया प्रतिनिधियों के साथ बैठक की और आवश्यक कार्रवाई की जाएगी। जिलों में घोड़परास की संख्या 2 लाख 95 हजार 866 और जंगली सूअर की संख्या 67 हजार 255 बताई जा रही है। इससे होने वाले क्षति को रोकने के लिए सरकार ने कदम उठाए हैं।
