What’s inside:

This article talks about the current weather conditions in Bihar and the forecast for the coming days, including rainfall and temperature changes.

The weather in Bihar is changing slowly, and people are starting to notice it. According to the Bihar Meteorological Centre, some areas might experience light rain with winds blowing at 30-40 km/h. But the heat and humidity are still quite high, making many people uncomfortable.

On September 5, the weather department issued a warning for moderate to heavy rainfall in the northern parts of Bihar. Districts like Sitamarhi, Muzaffarpur, and Darbhanga may face difficulties due to this rain, including the risk of lightning and thunderstorms. Residents are advised to stay cautious and avoid rivers and waterlogged areas.

In other parts of the state, the weather will remain relatively dry. Places like Bhagalpur and Sheikhpura had some light drizzle, but heavy rain is not expected there. However, the monsoon is likely to get stronger from September 10, with effects being felt in southern Bihar starting September 8.

So far, Bihar has seen about 30% less rainfall than usual for this monsoon season. The average expected rainfall is 1137 mm, but so far less than 50% has fallen. While Patna has seen a bit more rain, districts like East Champaran and Sitamarhi have experienced significant deficits of 50-62%.

Looking ahead, the monsoon is expected to regain strength from September 11, bringing heavy rain and thunderstorms until September 18. People are encouraged to stay alert and take necessary precautions to avoid any hazards from the weather changes.

Summary:

  • Weather in Bihar is changing, with some light rain expected.

  • Heavy rain warning issued for several northern districts.

  • Dry weather continues in other regions, with some light drizzle.

  • Bihar has received about 30% less rainfall than normal this season.

  • Monsoon is expected to strengthen from September 11, with heavy rain alerts.
