As the inauguration day gets closer, airlines are also showing interest in starting services from this new airport. IndiGo Airlines has announced that they will begin a direct flight to Kolkata, while Star Air has already mentioned their service to Ahmedabad.

This new flight from Purnia to Kolkata will make the journey much easier and quicker, taking just 70 minutes. Passengers can start booking their flights on this route. This will surely help many people who need to travel between these two cities regularly.

IndiGo will operate direct flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Flight 6E 7924 will depart from Purnia at 12:30 PM and arrive in Kolkata at 1:40 PM. The return flight, 6E 7925, will leave Kolkata at 3:40 PM and reach Purnia at 4:50 PM. This schedule will provide good options for travelers.

The starting fare for the Purnia-Kolkata flight has been set at ₹ 3115, and tickets can be booked through the IndiGo website. This new air service will make air travel much more accessible for people in the Seemanchal region and nearby areas.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Purnia Airport on 15 September. Once the airport is operational, it will be the fourth airport in Bihar. This development will benefit not only the people of Seemanchal but also those from West Bengal and the border areas of Nepal. More flights to cities like Delhi and Mumbai are expected to start soon.
