Patna is all set to launch its metro service! Starting soon, the metro will run for 14 hours each day, connecting important places in the city. The service will begin with three stations and expand to five stations by November.

The metro will operate from the Pataliputra bus terminal to Bhootnath. It will be in service from 8 AM to 10 PM. Officials have mentioned that it will take about 20 minutes to travel the entire route. Right now, trial runs are taking place to ensure everything is working smoothly.

For the public, this means more convenient travel options in Patna. The metro service will eventually extend to Malahi Pakri by November. Currently, the trains will run only from the depot to Bhootnath as some work is still pending near Khemanichak station.

The metro trains will have three coaches and will be painted in a bright blue and ocher color. The coaches will feature images of important historical sites in Bihar, showcasing the state’s rich culture and identity.

The metro is expected to be inaugurated by the end of this month. There are plans to have the metro ready for public use in time for Durga Puja. Preparations are ongoing to improve facilities such as access roads and parking at the stations.
