What’s inside:

A major fire occurred in Nalanda, causing panic among locals and significant property damage.

A big fire broke out in the Laheri police station area of Nalanda district late Wednesday night. The fire started at a furniture shop called Assam, located on Badi hill, and quickly spread to nearby areas, creating chaos.

People nearby were so scared that they rushed out of their homes onto the streets. The flames and smoke made the situation very tense, and locals tried to put out the fire but couldn’t manage it as it grew stronger.

When the fire department received the news, they sent four fire trucks to the scene. After nearly three hours of hard work, they managed to control the fire. Sadly, a car parked inside the shop was completely destroyed, and a gas cylinder explosion added to the damage.

Shop owner Santosh Kumar mentioned that the fire might have started due to a spark from a havan (a religious ceremony) done during Vishwakarma Puja. He had closed the shop and gone home when the fire erupted, suggesting that the spark may have caused the fire to spread quickly.

Local resident Satyendra Paswan stated that the fire was so intense that they couldn’t control it before the fire brigade arrived. The police have started an investigation, and the shopkeeper has provided necessary documents to assist with the inquiry.
