This article shares updates about the ongoing monsoon in Bihar, including rainfall, weather alerts, and temperature changes.

The monsoon has picked up pace in Bihar with heavy rains occurring in many districts. While some areas are experiencing comfortable weather, others are still facing humidity and heat. A Yellow alert has been announced for 32 districts, warning of strong winds and lightning along with the rain.

The Meteorological Department has said that the monsoon will remain active in Bihar for the next two to four days. During this period, there will be moderate to heavy rainfall in various regions, which should help reduce the maximum temperature by about 2 to 3 degrees Celsius, offering some relief from the heat.

In the last 24 hours, places like Patna, Kishanganj, Chhapra, Gopalganj, and Samastipur have recorded significant rainfall. The heavy rain is attributed to active cyclonic systems over eastern Uttar Pradesh and northern Jharkhand, which are enhancing monsoon conditions in the state.

On Thursday, Madhepura received heavy rains, while light showers were reported in Supaul, Farbisganj, Dehri, Samastipur, and Jiradei. The weather is expected to remain cloudy, with the possibility of heavy rain in several districts on Friday. Winds could reach speeds of 30 to 40 kmph.

In Patna, the weather is set to stay cloudy with intermittent rain. The temperature is expected to drop below 30°C, while the minimum will be around 24 to 25°C. The pleasant weather will continue, but heavy rains may ease off after September 20, with light rain expected to last until September 25.

Summary:

  • Heavy rains are ongoing in Bihar with a Yellow alert for 32 districts.

  • Monsoon activity will continue for the next 2 to 4 days.

  • Temperatures may drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius due to the rain.

  • Active cyclonic systems are contributing to the rainfall.

  • Patna will experience cool weather and intermittent rain for the coming days.
