PM Modi and CM Nitish gave money to women under a new scheme, while Tejashwi Yadav raised questions about it.

In Bihar, political activity is heating up as the assembly elections approach. Today, Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced financial support of ₹10,000 to 75 lakh women as part of the Mahila Employment Scheme.

Leader of the Opposition, Tejashwi Yadav, criticized this move, claiming that after the elections, the government would find ways to take back the money. He questioned if any of the funds came from the central government and suggested that this support would only last for a short time.

Tejashwi also addressed concerns about women’s safety, saying that during the RJD’s time in power, women were able to go out freely. He challenged PM Modi’s statement about women not leaving their homes during the RJD government and pointed out incidents of violence against women.

Additionally, he mentioned that his aim is to establish a corruption-free government in Bihar. He pointed out a specific case where a journalist was killed and the police refused to register a complaint, questioning the state of governance.

Tejashwi further criticized Union Home Minister Amit Shah, saying he only visits Bihar during election time and does not care about the country outside of that context. The political landscape in Bihar continues to evolve as leaders make their voices heard.
