Four IAS officers in Bihar have been given new responsibilities as part of a recent government notification.
Recently, the Bihar government made some changes in the General Administration Department. Four IAS officers have been given new roles. This announcement was made late on Monday evening.
Among those transferred is Kanwal Tanuj, who is from the 2010 batch. He was previously working as the Secretary in the Department of Small Water Resources. Now, he will take charge as the Secretary of the Planning and Development Department.
Another officer, Dr. Jitendra Gupta, who joined in 2013, was serving as the Joint Secretary in the Bihar State Planning Council. Now, he has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Finance Department, which is an important position.
Additionally, Krishna Chandra Gupta, a fresh IAS officer from the 2023 batch, will be a Special Officer in the Home Department. Nishant Sihara, from the 2022 batch, has been appointed as a Special Work Officer in the General Administration Department after waiting for his assignment.
Furthermore, Alok Kumar, an officer from the 2007 batch of the Indian Forest Service, has returned to the Environment Department after previously working as a Special Secretary in the Department of Labor Resources.
