This article shares news about the successful trial run of the Patna Metro, indicating its upcoming launch for the public.

The Patna Metro project has reached an important stage, with the final trial run successfully completed on Monday. This trial was overseen by a team led by the Metro Rail Safety Commissioner, Janak Kumar Garg. Now, it looks like the metro will soon be ready for the people of Patna to use.

On the day of the trial, the team inspected key locations including the metro depot in Bairia and the Zero Mile and Bhootnath Road stations. They checked all crucial technical elements like the signaling system, track strength, train speed, and braking system to ensure everything is up to standard.

With the successful completion of these tests, Patna residents can look forward to using the metro service soon. While no exact dates have been announced yet, the metro is gearing up to provide a new travel option in the city, making daily commutes easier for many.

There have been earlier trials too, including one on September 3, which involved an 800-meter track inside the depot. Another trial on September 7 saw a three-coach train traveling on a 3.6-kilometer elevated track. Each of these trials helped to refine the metro’s operations.

Next, the focus will be on getting a safety certificate from the Metro Rail Safety Commissioner. Once this certificate is issued, officials will announce the official inauguration date for the Patna Metro, marking a new chapter for public transport in the city.

  • Technical inspections were done at key metro stations.

  • Patna residents will soon have access to metro services.
