This article discusses the current political activities and seat-sharing negotiations for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections in 2025.

The political scene in Bihar is heating up with the Assembly elections set for 2025. The announcement of the election dates has sparked a competition between the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) and the Grand Alliance about who will get what seats. Leaders from both sides are busy sorting out candidate selections and sharing responsibilities.

Recently, senior BJP leaders met with Chirag Paswan for about 40 minutes to discuss demands from his party, LJP(RA). Chirag is asking for seats based on his party’s past performance in elections. He wants at least two assembly seats from every Lok Sabha constituency where they won in 2024.

Chirag arrived in Patna where his supporters welcomed him warmly, showing their enthusiasm for him as a potential Chief Minister. He mentioned to the media that he will share more details about the seat-sharing talks once everything is finalized. For now, he believes it’s too early to discuss specifics.

There is some tension within the NDA as Chirag is demanding 30 seats while another leader, Manjhi, is asking for 15 seats. BJP leaders are working hard to mediate these demands and keep the alliance together.

Looking ahead, it is expected that seat-sharing agreements will be finalized in the next two to three days. The Grand Alliance is also expected to announce its candidate list soon. The Election Commission will issue the first phase of election notifications on October 10, starting the nomination process.

Summary:

  • Bihar Assembly elections are approaching with political parties in active discussions.

  • Chirag Paswan is making specific demands regarding seat allocations.

  • Supporters are rallying behind Chirag as he returns to Patna.

  • Tensions exist within the NDA alliance over seat demands.

  • Final agreements and candidate announcements are expected soon.
