This article explains the new strict traffic rules introduced by the government to reduce road accidents.
The government is taking strong steps to tackle the rising number of road accidents. Recently, they have made traffic rules stricter to discourage reckless driving. If you break these rules, you should be ready to pay heavy fines.
Under the new traffic guidelines, if you drive over the speed limit, you will face penalties as per the Motor Vehicle Act. In Delhi, the fine for speeding has increased. Previously, the first fine was ₹2000, but now repeat offenders will pay the same amount every time they are caught speeding.
Many accidents in India happen because of speeding. Sudden braking at high speeds often leads to loss of control, which can be deadly. To prevent these accidents, the government is not just increasing fines but also using advanced technology to monitor traffic more effectively.
Now, traffic police are issuing fines online through an e-challan system. In Bihar, if you don’t pay your fine within 90 days, your vehicle will be blacklisted. Once blacklisted, you won’t be able to use your vehicle for tests or essential services.
The driving license process has also been updated. Now, there is no need for an RTO test. Instead, you can get a license after completing training at an approved driving school. The fees for licenses have been set at ₹200 for a learning license and ₹2000 for an international permit. The message is clear: drive safely and avoid speeding to stay safe on the roads.
Summary:
- The government is tightening traffic rules to reduce accidents.
- Speeding fines have increased to ₹2000 for repeat offenders.
- Most accidents are caused by speeding and sudden braking.
- Fines can be issued online, and vehicles can be blacklisted for unpaid fines.
