The historic Sonepur Fair in Bihar is set to start on November 9, featuring a standout horse named Sadhu.

The famous Sonepur Fair is coming up soon at Harihar Kshetra in Sonpur, Bihar. It will kick off on November 9, and everyone is getting ready for the big event. Traders and buyers from all over India are already arriving at the horse market, where one horse is stealing the show.

Meet ‘Sadhu’, a stunning Madwar horse known for its beauty and speed. This impressive horse belongs to Ashok Yadav, who has brought 16 top-quality horses to the fair. Sadhu is the star of the group, with a price tag of Rs 11 lakh, and its height and elegance have caught everyone’s eye.

Sadhu is quite fast, reaching speeds of 40 km per hour, and has won many competitions, including a big one where it beat 42 other horses. Ashok Yadav believes that Sonepur Fair is Asia’s largest cattle fair, attracting people from all corners of the country. The crowd is expected to grow even bigger once the elections are over.

This year, rain and election duties have caused a slight delay in the arrival of horses. Many traders are still on their way due to waterlogged roads. However, it is anticipated that over 2,000 horses will arrive, with traders from Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Bihar participating actively in the market.

The Sonepur Fair is a long-standing tradition that represents trade, culture, and love for animals. This year, Sadhu has gained a lot of attention, with visitors eager to take pictures with this special horse. It remains to be seen if Sadhu will find a new owner during the fair.
