A tragic accident in Siwan led to the death of a 15-year-old girl, causing unrest among locals due to police delays.

In a sad incident, a 15-year-old girl named Shabnam Khatoon lost her life in a road accident near Siswan Dhala in Siwan district. This unfortunate event happened in the evening when two motorcycles collided, causing Shabnam to fall onto the road, where she was hit by a speeding truck.

Local residents quickly called the police, but no officers arrived for three hours. This delay made the crowd very angry, and they blocked the main Siwan-Siswan road by burning tires, causing a lot of chaos in the area for about five hours.

Due to the protest, many vehicles were stuck on both sides of the road. When the police finally arrived, they faced strong opposition from the locals, who demanded higher authorities to come and address their concerns about the police’s slow response.

Eventually, Sadar SDO Ashutosh Kumar Gupta came to the site and managed to calm the situation. He assured the community that the body would be taken for a post-mortem. The SDO explained that the police were busy with election duties, which caused the delay in their response.
