A serious accident involving a school bus in Bhagalpur led to multiple injuries among children, prompting a swift response from local police.


A big accident happened on a four-lane road in Pirpainti, Bhagalpur on Tuesday afternoon. A private school bus lost control and turned over after hitting another vehicle. At that moment, more than twelve children were in the bus, which caused a lot of panic among everyone present.

The police patrol team from Peerpainti was nearby and quickly jumped into action. They helped get all the children out of the bus safely and took them to Peerpainti Referral Hospital in a police vehicle. Dr. Neeraj Kumar and his team checked all the kids and provided them with immediate care.

Most of the children had only minor injuries and were reported to be safe, bringing relief to their parents and the community. However, one child might have a fractured hand and was sent to Mayaganj Hospital for better treatment. Locals praised the quick response of the police during this emergency.

The bus driver explained that he was dropping the kids off at Parsbanana village and heading towards Jagdipur when a fast vehicle came from the front. He said the bus lost control while trying to brake, which caused it to overturn. The driver blamed the accident on the carelessness of the other vehicle.

After the accident, police cleared the damaged bus from the road and resumed traffic. They also began an investigation into the incident. This accident has raised concerns about speeding on busy roads and the safety of school vehicles, with locals urging the authorities to improve safety measures.
