A serious road accident occurred in Ambernath, Thane district of Maharashtra on Friday. A driver suffered a heart attack while driving, leading to a terrible crash that claimed the lives of four individuals. The incident shocked the local community and left many others injured.

The accident took place on the flyover connecting Ambernath East and West. Kiran Choubey, a local election candidate, was traveling with her colleagues and driver Laxman Shinde. Suddenly, Shinde lost consciousness while driving, which caused the car to crash into several other vehicles on the flyover.

As a result of the high-speed collision, the car overturned and several people were injured. The chaos that followed led to panic in the area, with one person even falling off the bridge. Fortunately, no children playing nearby were harmed during the incident.

Among the deceased were the driver Laxman Shinde and local youths Sumit Chelani and Shailesh Jadhav. Another person, Chandrakant Anarke, who was on a motorcycle, also succumbed to injuries later in the hospital. Kiran Choubey was rescued from the car and is currently reported to be stable.

Two more individuals who were with Choubey, Amit and Abhishek Chauhan, are badly injured and receiving treatment. Police are thoroughly investigating the incident, which has left the Ambernath community in shock.
