The Bihar government has announced new residences for its ministers. A notification from the Cabinet Secretariat revealed this update, which will take effect from November 20, 2025. The new homes are allocated from the Patna Central Pool, and some current residences for senior ministers have been regularized.
For the Deputy Chief Ministers, specific bungalows have been designated. Samrat Chaudhary, in charge of the Home Department, will stay at ‘5, Deshratna Marg’, while Vijay Kumar Sinha, the other Deputy Chief Minister handling Revenue and Land Reforms, will reside at ‘3, Strand Road’.
Several senior ministers have received their new addresses as well. For example, Bijendra Prasad Yadav, the Energy Minister, will live at ‘1, Strand Road’, and Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, responsible for Water Resources, will stay at ‘5, Circular Road’. Other ministers also have new homes in prime locations.
Ministers of key departments have also been assigned residences. Health Minister Mangal Pandey will move to ‘4, Taylor Road’, and Education Minister Sunil Kumar will be at ’26 A, Harding Road’. Additionally, the Agriculture Minister and the Labor Resources Minister have also received their allotted residences on Harding Road.
The list continues with several ministers getting homes on Harding Road, along with others on different roads in Patna. This new arrangement for ministers reflects the government’s efforts to organize and manage their living quarters more efficiently.
