In a tragic incident in Raxaul, East Champaran, a speeding Thar vehicle lost control late at night and plunged into the Ghoda Sahan canal. This accident involved five people who were in the car. Unfortunately, one person died at the scene, while the other four were rushed to the hospital in serious condition.
Local witnesses reported that the car was going really fast when it broke through the roadside railing and fell into the canal. As soon as the accident happened, nearby villagers quickly rushed to help and managed to pull the passengers out from the water, despite the vehicle being heavily damaged.
The local police and administration arrived soon after to assist with the rescue. They worked together with villagers to transport the injured to SRP Hospital for immediate medical attention. Sadly, a teacher named Raiaz Alam, also known as Laddu, was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital, while the condition of the other injured individuals remains critical.
The four injured have been identified as Rajkumar Gupta, Kunal Gupta, Dilip Kumar (the driver), and Abhishek Kumar, all from Ramgarhwa. They were returning from a friend’s wedding when the accident occurred near the Trilokinath temple in Raxaul.
Rescue operations are ongoing, and the police are investigating the situation further. The community is in shock over this unfortunate event, and everyone is hoping for the quick recovery of those injured.
