A train accident was narrowly avoided on the Patna-Ara-DDU line, causing panic among passengers.

On the evening of November 29, 2025, there was a serious incident on the Patna-Ara-DDU railway line. The Bengaluru City Special train, which was traveling from Danapur to Bengaluru, unexpectedly split into two parts near Karisath. This sudden breakdown caused a lot of fear among the passengers on board.

The train had just left Ara and was moving quickly towards Buxar when the first coupling near Karisath opened unexpectedly. The front part, including the engine, kept moving ahead, while the rear part stopped on the tracks. The driver felt a jolt and acted quickly by applying the emergency brakes, which thankfully prevented a major accident.

When the train split, many passengers suddenly felt a strong shock. In panic, they jumped up and rushed towards the doors, confused about what had just happened. Some started calling their friends or family for information, while others peeked outside, trying to understand the situation better.

Following this incident, railway officials and a technical team quickly arrived at the scene. Operations on the Patna-DDU line were halted for some time, leading to delays for many other trains. Passengers had to wait for about two hours as the team worked to reconnect the train parts and ensure everything was safe.

If the train had been traveling at a higher speed during the incident, the outcome could have been much worse, possibly leading to overturned coaches. After the necessary repairs, train services gradually resumed on the Up line, but this incident has raised serious questions about railway safety and maintenance procedures.

Summary:

  • A train split into two on the Patna-Ara-DDU line.

  • Panic spread among passengers as the train suddenly stopped.

  • Railway officials responded quickly to manage the situation.

  • Many trains were delayed due to the incident.

  • The event raised concerns about railway safety standards.
