A tragic accident happened on the evening of December 3, 2025, in Nalanda district. A speeding car collided head-on with a Scorpio on the overbridge near Devdha village. In this terrible incident, five young men in the car suffered serious burns, and sadly, one of them passed away during treatment.
Eyewitnesses reported that the impact of the crash was so strong that the Maruti car caught fire almost instantly. Within moments, the flames engulfed the vehicle, and all five occupants were badly burnt. Thanks to the quick action of local residents, they managed to pull the victims out and rushed them to the hospital.
The injured individuals were taken to Vims Pawapuri by ambulance. Among them, 26-year-old Divyanshu Kumar from Barh succumbed to his injuries. The other injured are Samrat Kumar from Harnaut, Raman Kumar from Begusarai, and Rishu and Anshu Kumar from Barh, all of whom are still receiving medical care.
The car was reportedly traveling from Ranchi to Patna when it collided with the Scorpio. The crash caused the car to burn completely, disrupting traffic on NH-20 for some time. Firefighters arrived to control the blaze, and police have seized both vehicles for investigation. Locals claim that the overbridge has been one-way for ten days without any ongoing work, contributing to the accident.
