Tragic Muzaffarpur Road Accident Leaves 12 Injured, Community Calls for Improved Safety Measures for School Buses

In the early hours of Thursday, a serious road accident occurred on the Madhubani Four Lane near Sadar Police Station in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. A school bus was parked incorrectly when a Scorpio, coming from the opposite direction at high speed, collided head-on with it. The scene was chaotic, with many people injured and crying for help.

The impact of the crash was devastating. Out of the 12 people in the Scorpio, 11 were from the same family, and most of them suffered serious injuries. They were returning home to Pahalja after performing Shraddha rites when this unfortunate incident took place. The driver’s condition is reported to be critical.

Local residents and passersby rushed to help, breaking open the doors to rescue the injured and quickly took them to SKMCH hospital for treatment. Many of them are reported to be in a serious condition.

Local people are blaming the school bus driver for “dangerous criminal negligence” for parking the vehicle in the wrong direction without any warning signs. They believe that if the bus had been parked properly, this tragic accident could have been avoided. There are calls for stricter enforcement of road safety rules.

Following the accident, the police arrived at the scene, seized the school bus, and are now searching for the driver. Preliminary investigations show that the bus had been stationary for a long time without any indicators, which contributed to the accident. The community is demanding accountability for what they consider a preventable disaster.
