Chhapra Municipal Corporation is taking strong action against illegal constructions in the city to clear roads and drains for better public access.

Chhapra Municipal Corporation has ramped up its efforts to remove illegal encroachments from the city. On Monday morning, right after the Sunday holiday, the team started work in Harimohan Gali. Residents were curious when they heard bulldozers at work, and many came out to see what was happening.

The officials targeted several illegal structures that have been causing trouble for years. Many concrete platforms and stairs that were blocking the roads were demolished. Some of these constructions were quite strong, making it hard for the machines to take them down quickly.

Residents are feeling relieved as the roads are now clearer. In the past, it was tough to walk or even drive through the area because of these encroachments. With the removal of these structures, people are hopeful that the streets will be cleaner and that issues like waterlogging during the rainy season will be addressed.

During the operation, some water pipes and taps were accidentally broken. However, officials assured everyone that these would be repaired soon. They emphasized that the removal of encroachments would continue without interruption to prevent old problems from coming back.

The Municipal Corporation, led by Manager Ved Prakash Varnwal, carried out this operation with police support to ensure everything went smoothly. Even though some residents were unhappy about the demolitions, the officials remained firm that city land cannot be occupied without permission.
