This article talks about the Bihar Railway Division’s night patrol efforts to ensure track safety during the cold weather.

The Danapur Railway Division in Bihar has started a special night patrol to keep railway tracks safe as the cold weather hits. This patrol is crucial because sudden temperature drops can cause cracks in the iron tracks, which can be dangerous. The patrols are now taking place at night, ensuring every part of the 2080 km railway line is carefully monitored.

To carry out this operation effectively, around 780 railway staff members have been divided into small teams. Each team is responsible for monitoring a specific stretch of track, covering 2 kilometers on double lines and 4 kilometers on single lines. They keep a close eye on key routes, especially between Jhajha and Patna, from 10 pm to 6 am.

This operation is not just about walking along the tracks. The teams meet in the middle of their assigned areas to sign a register, proving they have covered their sections thoroughly. This way, they leave no room for negligence. If they find any cracks or suspicious signs, they can quickly call in repair teams to prevent accidents.

The night patrol will continue until February 2026, focusing on keeping passengers safe. The railway officials see this as a necessary step to ensure train services remain smooth and secure, especially during winter when track issues are most likely to occur.

With these enhanced safety measures in place, passengers can feel more secure while traveling by train. The regular inspections and quick responses to any problems are aimed at preventing potential accidents, making train travel safer for everyone.

Summary:

  • Night patrols are active in the Danapur Railway Division for safety.

  • 780 staff members are monitoring tracks during night hours.

  • Teams meet to confirm coverage of their assigned track sections.

  • Operation runs until February 2026 to ensure passenger safety.

  • Quick responses to issues aim to prevent train accidents.
