Three young men lost their lives in a tragic accident in Darbhanga due to thick fog while trying to avoid a bull on the road.


Last night in Darbhanga, a terrible road accident happened in the Nehra police station area. Three young men from the same village died instantly when their car plunged into a canal. This incident occurred near Nehra village as they were driving in heavy fog and tried to avoid a bull that suddenly appeared on the road.

The three youths were returning home from their brother-in-law’s place in Jagdishpur when the accident took place. They couldn’t see the bull due to the thick fog. As the driver lost control, the car overturned and fell about 15 feet into the canal, leading to the tragic loss of all three lives.

The victims have been identified as Shambhu Kumar Yadav (27), Ajay Kumar Sahni (28), and Sujit Kumar Sahni (28). They were all close friends from Nehra village. Shambhu was a farmer and the only breadwinner for his family. Ajay was involved in the makhana and fish business, while Sujit was expecting his first child with his wife, who is six months pregnant.

Villagers rushed to the scene after hearing the crash and helped pull the bodies from the car. The police also arrived promptly, took the bodies, and sent them for post-mortem at DMCH Darbhanga. The entire village is in shock and mourning, with families heartbroken over the loss.

In light of this tragic incident, villagers are urging the local administration to improve road safety measures and provide compensation to the bereaved families. The community is calling for immediate action to prevent such accidents in the future.
