Bihar Schools Adapt to Cold Wave: Timings Changed, Classes Postponed in Multiple Districts Including Gopalganj and Muzaffarpur

The weather in Bihar has turned extremely cold, especially after the first snowfall in the hilly areas on Sunday. This cold wave is affecting not just Bihar but also other parts of North India. Because of the severe chill, many schools in different districts are closing down, while others are adjusting their timings to help students cope with the cold.

In response to the chilly weather, the district administration has issued strict orders regarding schools and Anganwadi centers. Areas like Gopalganj, Chhapra, Muzaffarpur, and others are following these guidelines. Schools must adhere to the new timings, or they may face strict actions from the authorities.

For example, in Saran district, all schools up to class 10 will be closed until December 23, while classes above this level will operate from 10 am to 4:30 pm. In Gopalganj, all educational activities are suspended from December 22 to December 24, but classes for older students will be held within specific hours. This means that students will have to adjust to the new school schedules accordingly.

In Muzaffarpur, the school timings have changed; no classes will take place before 10 am and after 3:30 pm. Similarly, in Araria, studies for students up to class 5 are postponed until December 24. The district has even set up bonfires at various locations to help people stay warm during this cold wave.

Residents are urged to take precautions as the cold wave continues. The administration is monitoring the situation closely and may make further changes to school timings based on the weather. Everyone is encouraged to stay indoors as much as possible and take care of vulnerable groups like children and the elderly.
