Protest in Sasaram Demands Equal Rights for Hindu Minorities Amid Rising Violence in Bangladesh

On Tuesday, a big protest took place in Piro Nagar, near Lohia Chowk, to speak out against the violence faced by Hindus in Bangladesh. The Sarva Samaj Hindu Organization organized this event to raise awareness about the ongoing issues affecting the Hindu community there. Protesters burned an effigy of Mohammad Yunus, the interim head of the Bangladesh government, to show their anger and frustration.

The protest highlighted a recent shocking incident where a young Hindu man, Dipu Das, was killed by a mob in Bangladesh. He was wrongly accused of blasphemy, and the brutal nature of his death has raised serious concerns about the safety of Hindus in the country. Activists claim that violence against Hindus has been increasing steadily for over a year, creating a climate of fear among them.

During the protest, speakers called for the Indian government to take strong actions to ensure the safety and rights of Hindus living in Bangladesh. They demanded that specific areas, like Chittagong and Khulna, be considered for establishing a new independent nation for Hindus, named “Dakshin Sanatani Bangla.” The mood was serious but peaceful, with many notable local figures present to support the cause.

The demonstration also saw members of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal marching through the city, raising slogans and expressing their concerns about the continuous targeting of Hindus by extremist groups. This has been a recurring issue, with many incidents of violence against the community being reported over time.

In the wake of these events, the protestors urged the international community to pay attention and take action regarding the situation of Hindus in Bangladesh. They are calling for immediate steps to ensure that the rights and safety of minority communities are protected, emphasizing that such atrocities must not continue.
