Tragic Road Accident in Katihar: Community Calls for Action Against Speeding Trucks After 12-Year-Old’s Death

A 12-year-old boy named Shivam Kumar lost his life in a terrible road accident on Saturday evening in Dokhada Chowk, Katihar. This happened when an out-of-control truck hit him while he was on his way to coaching classes. The impact of the accident was so severe that he died on the spot, leaving his family and the community in shock.

Shivam, son of Sanjay Mahato, was living at his maternal home and had stepped out to attend coaching classes that evening. As he neared Dokhada Chowk, a speeding truck came from Kumhri and struck him. The news of the incident quickly spread, causing outrage among family members and locals.

In response to the tragic event, villagers gathered in large numbers, blocking the road and setting tires on fire. They demanded justice for Shivam’s family and urged authorities to take action against the reckless driving of heavy vehicles in the area. This protest led to major traffic disruptions for several hours.
