Recently, there was a goods train accident on the Jasidih-Jhajha railway line, leading to significant disruptions in train services. The railway board has formed a team of five officials to investigate the incident, which began working at the site on Sunday.
As a result of this accident, many trains are getting delayed or diverted. On Monday, the Vande Bharat and Jan Shatabdi trains from Patna were rerouted, causing delays of nearly 4 hours for the Vande Bharat and about 6 hours for the Jan Shatabdi.
Passengers traveling to nearby stations faced a lot of inconvenience. Daily commuters, especially those traveling from Patna to places like Lakhisarai and Jamui, struggled due to these changes. The severe cold added to the troubles, as many passengers were forced to spend the night at unexpected stations.
In total, 87 trains had to be rerouted, while 30 trains were canceled. The railway authorities aim to resume normal service soon, but the disruption is affecting many travelers who rely on these trains for work and business.
The railway officials expect that services will gradually return to normal. Passengers are advised to check the status of their trains before traveling to avoid any surprises.
