This article shares updates about the Patliputra Gorakhpur Express train services and temporary train stoppages for the Magh Mela.

The Railway Administration has made an important update regarding the Patliputra Gorakhpur Express. To ensure safe train operations during the dense fog season, they have changed the train schedule. Earlier, this train was canceled four days a week until February 1, but now cancellations have been reduced.

Now, the Patliputra Gorakhpur Express will only be canceled on Tuesdays and Fridays. On all other days, the train will run normally, which is great news for regular passengers who rely on this service. This change is expected to ease travel for many people.

In addition to this, the Railways have also announced temporary stops for seven pairs of trains at Prayagraj Rambagh and Jhusi stations. This is to accommodate the growing number of devotees visiting Prayagraj for the Magh Mela. The affected trains will stop for an extra two minutes at these stations in January and February 2026.

Some of the trains that will have these new stoppages include the Jaynagar-Lokmanya Tilak Pawan Express and the Sitamarhi-Anand Vihar Lichchavi Express. This will allow passengers to get closer to the fair area and help reduce crowd pressure at busy stations.

The new stoppages at Rambagh and Jhusi stations are aimed at making travel easier for devotees during the Magh Mela. This adjustment will help passengers alight near the event area and improve overall convenience during this busy period.

Summary:

  • Patliputra Gorakhpur Express cancellations reduced to two days a week.

  • Train will run normally on all days except Tuesday and Friday.

  • Seven pairs of trains will have temporary stops during Magh Mela.

  • Extra stoppages will help devotees reach the fair area easily.

  • Changes will improve convenience and manage crowd pressure.
