This article discusses the preparations by the railways for the Magh Mela in Prayagraj, including special trains and security measures for devotees.

The railways are all set for the Magh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. They have started running special trains to help devotees reach their destinations, especially for the first bathing festival.

In addition to these special trains, the North Central Railway (NCR) and North Eastern Railway (NER) will also operate ring rail services on different routes. This is to ensure that everyone can travel smoothly during the festival.

For the first bathing festival, a total of 16 special trains will be running. Nine of these trains will come from the Delhi NCR area, while the Northern Railway will provide three trains for routes to Lucknow and Ayodhya. Four more trains will be added by the Eastern Railway for travelers from Bihar and Purvanchal.

During an inspection of the Prayagraj and Fafamau stations, officials checked various facilities like waiting areas, ticket counters, and emergency services. Extra security personnel, including GRP and RPF, have also been deployed at key stations for passenger safety.

However, there was some confusion at the Prayagraj junction when entry from the Civil Lines side was closed, causing passengers to detour through the city side. This led to some crowding and complaints from travelers who were puzzled by the entry restrictions.
