This article talks about plans to modernize Patna Junction and improve railway services in Bihar.

Bihar is getting a big upgrade at Patna Junction! The station will be made modern, similar to the ones in Mumbai. This project will cost around 95 crores and will add five underground platforms to manage more trains.

Additionally, to ease congestion, a new third and fourth railway line will be built between Danapur and Patna, replacing two old lines. This improvement is part of a larger plan to enhance the railway capacity across a 400-kilometer stretch from DDU to Jhajha, with a budget approval of 17 thousand crores.

In the next five years, we can expect more trains running faster from Patna. The railway ministry has included Patna Junction and three other stations in a plan to double the train capacity and improve services, aiming to cater to the needs of major cities.

New railway lines are also coming up, like the one connecting Patna to Aurangabad. A ring rail network around Patna and new bridges will help make travel easier and increase the number of trains running in the area.

Work on revamping various stations including Patna and Danapur will start soon, aiming for completion by June 2028. This will include better platforms, foot over bridges, and improved connectivity for passengers.

Summary:

  • Patna Junction will be modernized like Mumbai’s stations.

  • New railway lines will replace old ones to manage traffic.

  • More trains will run faster in the next five years.

  • New connections and bridges will improve travel.

  • Revamping of stations will be completed by June 2028.
