What’s inside:

A large protest was held in Patna for landless families against an official list threatening their homes.

In Patna today, a big protest took place at the Paliganj block headquarters organized by CPI(ML). The protest was in support of families who do not own land and are worried after the government published a list of ‘encroachment-free’ villages. This has made many poor families anxious, as they have been living on government land for years.

The protesters shouted slogans calling the government’s actions ‘anti-poor’ and demanded that the list be canceled immediately. They feel that this policy puts their homes at risk and threatens their way of life. Many families are afraid they might be forced to leave the land they have lived on for so long.

During the protest, MLA Sandeep Saurabh spoke out strongly against the government. He criticized the use of bulldozers on the homes of poor people without providing any alternative living arrangements. He reminded everyone that the government had promised land to the landless, but nothing has been done about it yet.

Sandeep Saurabh also expressed that these actions are against the Constitution, which guarantees the right to live with dignity. He assured that CPI(ML) will fight against this unjust policy, insisting that no poor person’s home should be demolished without proper arrangements being made.

At the end of the protest, a group of representatives submitted a memorandum to the administration. They urged the government to withdraw the demolition list and ensure housing for the affected families. The protest showed that the struggle for land rights is heating up in Paliganj, and the party is committed to standing firm on this issue.
