From Tea Stall to Cricket Academy: Anshu Kumari Inspires Hope for Underprivileged Kids in Noida

Anshu Kumari is a young girl from the Supaul district in Bihar, and her story is making waves on social media and in the sports community. Coming from a simple family, Anshu started her journey in her village and now practices cricket in Noida. She wakes up early to run a tea stall to support her family, and then spends long hours practicing cricket under the hot sun. Her dream is to play for the Indian cricket team and make her parents proud.

Anshu faced a tough time when her father, who earned a living as a rickshaw driver, passed away due to illness. This tragedy put her education and sports on hold. She then got a chance for free training in Noida, so she moved there with her mother. Unfortunately, the coach broke his promise. Instead of giving up, Anshu raised ₹20,000 and opened her own tea shop to pay for her cricket training.

But Anshu is not just working for herself; she is also helping underprivileged children in her community. She runs a cricket academy in Noida where she provides free training to 22 kids who can’t afford to pay for coaching. She covers all the costs from her tea stall earnings, including the ground rent, sports gear, and coach’s salary, allowing these children to dream big in cricket.

Anshu’s cricket journey began in her own backyard. One day, while playing with her brother, she bowled the ball so fast that it surprised him. With his encouragement, she decided to pursue cricket professionally and now bowls at an impressive speed of 110 km/h. Her hard work and determination show that no challenge is too big when one’s dreams are strong. Today, Anshu serves as a role model for women’s empowerment.
