What’s inside:
This article talks about the current weather in Bihar, including fog and cold temperatures affecting daily life.
Recently, Bihar’s weather has been quite unusual. The cold winds from the west are making mornings and evenings feel chilly, while the daytime sun brings a little warmth. Even though areas like Patna are dry, the cold still lingers, keeping everyone on their toes.
As per the weather department, dense fog is expected in all 19 districts of North Bihar until the morning of January 15. This fog is making it hard for people to see while traveling, so it’s important for everyone to be extra careful on the roads. While the sun’s rays can break through the fog during the day, the cold continues to be a problem.
Foggy conditions are particularly strong in places like West Champaran, East Champaran, and Muzaffarpur. The weather center in Patna indicates that light to moderate fog will be present in northern districts and other areas, including Patna. Over the next five days, there are no significant temperature changes expected.
The maximum temperature recorded in Patna was 21.7 degrees Celsius, while Kishanganj saw 25.6 degrees. On Tuesday, temperatures dropped in 16 cities, including Patna. In areas like Buxar and Gaya, the minimum temperature was below 9 degrees, making it feel even colder.
The weather department also mentioned that from January 15, a western disturbance will affect the Himalayan regions, leading to more dense fog in North Bihar. For now, the mix of sunshine and fog will continue, and people will have to wait a bit longer for the cold to ease up.

- Dense fog is expected until January 15, affecting visibility.
