The police have arrested five young people, including three minors, in Nawada while preventing a potential crime.


In Nawada’s Jagdev Nagar area, the local police acted quickly on Thursday night to stop a serious crime from happening. They received a tip-off around 9:45 PM and managed to catch five young men who were armed and looking to attack someone.

Thanks to the information received, the police sent a patrol team to the area. When the team arrived, the suspects tried to flee, but with help from local residents, one of them was caught immediately. This led to the arrest of the other four as well.

Among those arrested, two are adults, identified as 19-year-old Aditya Kumar and 18-year-old Ghanshyam Rai. The other three, Shubham, Sonu, and Nitish, are minors. The police also recovered a pistol, a magazine, and three smartphones from them.

This entire operation was led by the officer in charge of Nawada police station. Their prompt action prevented panic in the neighborhood and ensured safety in the area. The police are now looking into the past records of these individuals to understand what crime they were planning.

Currently, the police are continuing their investigation. They are working to uncover the details of the planned crime and ensure that the community remains safe from such threats in the future.
