Tejashwi Yadav Mobilizes RJD to Address Bihar’s Key Issues Ahead of Budget Session in Patna

There’s some action happening in Bihar politics again. Tejashwi Yadav, who leads the RJD, had previously given the Nitish Kumar government 100 days to show improvement. However, just 74 days in, he seems to be losing patience. With the budget session approaching, he has decided it’s time to take a stand and challenge the government both inside and outside the assembly.

In a recent meeting at his residence, Tejashwi laid out his plans. It was decided that they would highlight the failures of the Nitish government during the budget session. Tejashwi made it clear that he is committed to his party and family, while his relationship with Sanjay Yadav appears to be cooling off.

This change comes after RJD faced a tough defeat in the 2025 assembly elections, which led to internal conflicts and accusations within the party. Sanjay Yadav faced criticism for his actions, while some members of the Lalu family also faced backlash. Learning from these experiences, Tejashwi is now looking to manage both politics and family dynamics more effectively.

The seating arrangement in the meeting spoke volumes. Misa Bharti was close to Tejashwi, while Sanjay Yadav sat at the far end, showing who is in favor and who is not. Tejashwi has also instructed party MLAs and candidates to gather local issues to confront the government on various promises like improving Anganwadis, health centers, and school conditions.

Tejashwi aims to create a narrative that the public lost due to dishonest practices in the elections. Meanwhile, ongoing legal issues involving the Lalu family and Tej Pratap’s rebellious stance are adding to Tejashwi’s challenges. Immediate steps will include preparing to question the government on its commitments as the budget session nears.
