A tragic accident in Tarari block claimed the life of a teacher and left several injured, highlighting road safety concerns in the area.

On Saturday, a shocking accident happened near Sikraul petrol pump in Tarari block, Bihar. A speeding pickup truck caused the death of 35-year-old teacher Roshan Jahan. The incident was horrifying as a mixer machine detached from the pickup and collided head-on with a tempo, leading to a tragic loss of life.

This accident deeply affected the family of Roshan Jahan. After 14 years of marriage, she had recently given birth to twins, a boy and a girl, just a month ago. The joy of welcoming new children turned to sorrow as her sudden demise left her newborns without their mother, who was their protector and caretaker.

Roshan was on her way to get polio vaccinations for her one-month-old twins, accompanied by her mother, Naseema Khatun, who is the local sarpanch. The accident occurred as they approached Sikraul Mill, where the mixer machine hit their tempo, resulting in Roshan suffering a fatal head injury.

Witnesses reported that the pickup was driving recklessly. When the mixer machine broke loose, it flipped the tempo over. Roshan’s mother was severely injured and was rushed to Ara Sadar Hospital for urgent medical attention. Other victims included a girl named Sushmita Kumari and two young men who also sustained injuries.

Police arrived at the scene shortly after the incident to help transport the injured to the hospital. They have taken the teacher’s body for a post-mortem and are currently searching for the pickup driver. Locals are demanding stricter measures to control speeding vehicles in the area, raising concerns about safety for families and children.
