Government Engineering College, Ara Celebrates Major Placement Success with 21 Students Hired by Kolkata Firm

Government Engineering College, Ara, located in Bhojpur, Bihar, is thrilled to share some exciting news. A total of 21 students from the college have been offered jobs by a well-known private company from Kolkata. This achievement is a big milestone for the college, showcasing the hard work put in by the Training and Placement Cell.

The selected students come from various engineering departments, including Electrical, Mechanical, and Instrumentation Engineering. After their probation period, these students can expect a salary package between Rs 3.5 lakh and Rs 4.75 lakh per year, which is considered a great start for graduates from state-run engineering colleges.

Out of the 21 students who got selected, 13 are from the Electrical Engineering department, 7 from Mechanical Engineering, and 1 from Instrumentation Engineering. This reflects the quality of education and practical training that the college provides to its students.

The principal of the college has praised both the students and the placement team for this success, highlighting that it shows the effectiveness of the college’s technical education approach. The college aims to equip students from rural and semi-urban areas to compete in the industry at a national level.

Looking ahead, the college plans to organize another placement drive on January 20 and 21. Students have been encouraged to focus on improving their soft skills and interview preparation, in addition to their technical knowledge, to maximize their chances of securing jobs.
