Shivnarayanpur station, part of the Malda Railway Division, witnessed a significant event today. The long-awaited stoppage of the Danapur-Sahibganj Intercity Express was inaugurated, fulfilling the wishes of local residents. Bhagalpur MP Ajay Mandal flagged off the train, celebrating the moment with local leaders and community members.

As per the new schedule, the Intercity Express will arrive at Shivnarayanpur station every day at 3:46 PM and will leave at 3:47 PM after just one minute. On its way back, the train will stop at the same station at 12:33 PM the next day and depart at 12:34 PM. This stoppage is expected to greatly help local businessmen, students, and patients traveling to Patna.

During the opening ceremony, there was a lively atmosphere, with various NDA leaders receiving a warm welcome. However, the event saw some tension when NDA workers had a disagreement over credit for the train’s stoppage. This caused some disruption, affecting the smooth conclusion of the program and leading to discussions among attendees.

Despite the minor issues, NDA leaders took the opportunity to highlight the government’s achievements. They expressed gratitude towards the Railway Minister for this development, emphasizing that adding train stops at smaller stations is part of the broader growth strategy for the country.
